Fiddlecase Books Apps

We are excited to announce that two of our titles are now available as IOS apps for the iPad! (Development of the app for The Fiddler's Friend is underway.) These apps include clearly readable notation for all of the tunes in the hard-copy books and contain all of the supplemental information found in the books. They also have search and organizational capacities that are not possible in the hard-copy books. We thank Transported Productions for developing these apps as well as the upcoming titles.
App Features
- Quickly display any tune in the tune books through the Search mechanism (search can be by tune title, book page number, key signature and/or meter).
- Learn more about each tune through the Information feature, which displays the Note on the Tune while the tune itself is visible.
- Create portfolios of tunes (Events) specific to your separate music occasions. These events can be shared via AirDrop, email, and file-sharing apps.
- Add your own tune files to the apps through the iTunes sharing feature.
- Combine the tunes in the New England Fiddler's Repertoire and Irish Traditional Fiddle Music (and any other apps you use) and organize the separate tunes into medleys via the TuneLibrarian app
- Read detailed instructions, which are also available in a downloadable in pdf format.
Purchasing Information
- Download the apps free of charge on the Apple iTunes Store. The initial downloads contain 12 of the tunes in each of the respective Fiddlecase Books and include all of the features of the full apps except the interface with the TuneLibrarian app.
- Unlock the remaining tunes in the books and the TuneLibrarian interface through an in-app purchase of $23.99 for The New England Fiddler's Repertoire and $24.99 for Irish Traditional Fiddle Music.
