About the Publisher
![]() Owner Randy Miller of East Alstead, NH, co-founded Fiddlecase Books in 1973. He began playing the fiddle at the age of 22, and has played fiddle and piano at contra dances and Irish sessions throughout New England and nationwide for more than 40 years.
Not only is Randy a leading American publisher of traditional melodies, he also maintains a busy schedule playing for dances, concerts, and Irish sessions. He has led workshops at numerous festivals throughout the United States and was designated a Master Teacher of Contra Dance Music by the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts. In 2021, Randy was honored by receiving the Folk Arts Award from the NH State Council on the Arts/Governor's Arts Award. Randy is co-host of several regular Irish music sessions in the Connecticut River Valley and is the dance fiddler for The Inn at East Hill Farm in Troy, New Hampshire. He has recorded five albums of traditional New England and Irish fiddle music. His latest album, The Joy of My Life, presents live recordings of Celticladda, his band that has played for contra dances nationwide. |
