This is one of my early wood engravings, from 1974. A black and white dog is an ideal subject for a black and white engraving! Sheep dot the hillside in the distance and the landscape elements were inspired by the East Alstead, NH, landscape. This was my pet and faithful companion for many years, a very loyal and playful dog.
